Winter essentials

It has been a while I didn’t post anything, I was essentially focusing on my instagram account. So I decided to present you some of my favorites products these last few weeks, even if I already posted these pictures on instagram.

I always wanted to purchase the Diorific collection which is a limited edition you can buy every year, before Christmas period. I chose the lipstick is the shade « Diorling » a beautiful red, a bit dark which is perfect for festivities, and it goes perfectly with the nailpolish.

The « ambre » diptyque candle is just amaaaazing. The scent is so addictive and it’s the perfect wintery scent for your home. Also very natural in comparison to other brands.

I’m so in love with this vintage tea set I found on etsy (lorabelle vintage shop). It’s called « Un hiver à Paris » and is from the 50s!

I recieved this gorgeous book for Christmas. Megan Hess is a famous fashion illustrator and worked with several luxury brands. She decided to focus on the life of Coco Chanel, her work and impact on fashion industry. The drawings are gorgeous, I highly recommand it to you!

As you can see on my pictures, I love golden shades and I love YSL products for their quality and packaging. This nailpolish is just gorgeous, I feared it might be a little kitsch but the color is subtile. The tray is from Zara Home and the earrings from Zara (a birhtday present which I loove).

These two products are just perfect for your lips. The lipbalm is sooo moisturizing, I use it every single day.

YSL arty ring. My favorite one, I wear it everyday. I recieved it for my birthday a few years ago.

Dior Blush « cocktail peach » – Dior nailpolish « Dune ». The earrings are not the Tribal earrings by Dior, they’re an imitation I found in a cute little shop in Strasbourg. Notebooks are from the Musée d’Orsay.
How wonderful is this bathbomb? I almost don’t want to use it. It’s apple scented, I found it in a shop « Beauty success ».

Red coat

Red is a beautiful color for autumn and winter outfits. I bought this coat 2 years ago at Zara, more than 50% off, a real bargain. I used to wear it a lot, and I realized a few days ago that it was waiting in my closet. Coats are my weakness. I could have coats of every color and every textures. As I already mentioned in one of my articles, my dream coat is a Maxmara one, maybe one day! The dress is also from Zara, we can’t see it but it has beautiful sleeves, with swiss muslin. The bag is my favorite one, a Sandro bag I bought a few years ago, I love it.

Dress: Zara – Coat: Zara (old) – Necklace: H&m (last year) – bag: Sandro (old) similar similar – Shoes: Jonak (old)

Every winter, I usually wear Coco by Chanel. After 4 years, I wanted to change, to find a more uncommon fragrance. A few weeks ago, I discovered « Datura noir » by Serge Lutens. Incredible is the word. Very feminine, subtile, not too sweet. The datura is a hallucinogenic plant, which bewitch you. I swear, you’ll be addicted to this fragrance! I’m totally in love.

I was dreaming about these Météorites pearls by Guerlain for a long time. I decided to yield to temptation when I saw them 20% off. The packaging is just gorgeous and they smell so good, they’re violet scented. Honestly, I don’t see a radical change when I use it, it illuminates the skin but it’s not out of the ordinary. I’m also very interested by the foundation which seems to be, at the contrary, very efficient.

This Chanel lipstick is very dark, like an old red wine, almost purple. The shade is « élégante ». What do you think about it? Would you dare to wear dark shades?

Finally I’ve tried Kiehl’s products! At first, I was a little bit disappointed by the scent of the Ultra Facial Cleanser which is a bit chemical. But it works so well! My favorite cleanser was the Clarins one I mentioned several times but this one leaves your skin fresh, clean and silky smooth. You don’t have an impression of dry skin after using it. Moreover, you don’t need a lot of product so it must last a long time. My skin is really dry these last weeks so I also bought the Ultra Facial Cream and I looove it. Very nourishing, not sticky, melting, it’s a pleasure to use it. The packaging is very simple and I like it.

Current obsessions

As you may notice, it’s all about nude, pinky shades. I’ve recently discovered all these (dream) items and I’m just obsessed with it. These boots remind me of the 60s-70s, and I find them really original. I also could die for this dress, which is soooo amazing, and I would be very disappointed if I don’t find it or if it doesn’t suit me. Moreover, ACNE scarves are a classic, and I think about purchasing one as a Christmas gift. They seem to be so silky-soft and this colour is gorgeous. Last but not least, one of my dreambag is a Mansur Gavriel one. I looooove this brand so so much, and these little ones are wonderful, I really like the shades, it would be perfect with a beautiful grey or beige coat. And you, what are your current obsessions?

Birthday presents

Two weeks ago, I turned 22 years old. I think I don’t really realize that I’m no longer considered as a child, it’s the beginning of the adult life. I find it quite cool and my opinion on it is very positive, I have so much to discover. Even if at this age we all have some fears, serious, important choices have to be taken and we gradually discover the joy of duties, paperworks,…

When you celebrate your birthday, you always realize how your family and friends know you well. I was so delighted when I saw all these beautiful presents… And so touched.

Stuffed butterflies (didn’t find the exact word so I may be wrong). I know it seems horrible for some people, cruel. I totally understand it, but I’m just fascinated. Since my childhood, I’ve always been interested and fascinated by curiosity cabinets and it just reminds me of them.

Jasmin green tea by Dammann Frères, perfect to start the day if you want something light. I used to drink the Kusmi Tea one, but this one is much more refined and delicate. I don’t know if you can see, but there are jasmin petals in it!

& Other stories Body soufflé & Body Scrub. These products smell soooo gooood, and impregnate your clothes. A floral scent, not too heavy. And the scrub is not too rough, I love the feeling after using it. It’s made of granulated sugar.

Zara earrings, they are so beautiful. I love gold and pearls, perfect combination!

Roger & Gallet « eau bienfaisante », this fragrance is very light and refreshing. This one is made of roses.

Daniel Wellington watch, I wanted one for sooo long. Compared to others, they’re not so expensive and I love their classy style.

Au Fond du Jardin

I recently discovered (thanks to a friend) the famous Tea Room and shop « Au Fond du Jardin » in Strasbourg, created by Fred and Laurent. They created the Madeleines du Voyage and a fantastic universe. If you come to Strasbourg, you have to see it! The Madeleines are the most refined delicacies you can find on earth. You can of course enjoy them with a cuppa in a wonderful atmosphere: refined tea set, floral patterns, muffled atmosphere of intimacy. A new decoration for each season! It’s like travelling through time. Moreover, you can find teas with uncommon names and flavours. Here you can find London Bridge, an Earl Grey tea. Last week I purchased a candle named « Winter at Downton » which smells incredibly good, this scent is the perfect one for cold days. Today I came back home with this gorgeous box of Madeleines for my family, I don’t know what are their names and flavours, but I ate one and it was sooo good, Rose flavoured I think. So, I wanted to share it with you, because you can’t forget such a place! (By the way, what a joy to be welcomed in such a pleasant way). I also tried to create a cosy autumnal atmosphere.
